Late renewal penalty?+
0-30 days late: No penalty. 31 days - 5 years late: Rs 25/year additional + possible retest. After 5 years: License canceled, must apply fresh learner license.
Can renew DL completely online?+
Partially online for most cases. Online: pay fees, upload documents, book appointment. Offline: biometrics at RTO. Some states (UP, Telangana) offer Aadhaar-based fully online renewal.
