Most RTOs open Monday-Friday 10 AM to 5 PM, closed on Saturdays/Sundays and holidays. Some states like Maharashtra have alternate Saturdays open. Check local RTO website before visiting.
Documents needed at RTO visit?+
Common documents: Aadhaar card, address proof (utility bill/passport), passport-size photos, vehicle invoice (new registration), insurance, PUC, applicable forms (Form 1, 1A, 9, etc), and fees.
Can I do RTO work online?+
Yes! Many services available on Parivahan/Sarathi portals: license renewal, RC transfer, address change, duplicate RC, hypothecation termination. Some still need physical visit for biometrics.
